Bryana Lee Walters
I have over 20 years of experience working with animals in a variety of settings.
I began my career as a Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) in 2004 and built a strong foundation in animal health and medical care.
My certifications include Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) and Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP). I also have a certificate in Applied Animal Behavior from the University of Washington (UW-AAB) and have continued specialized training in forensic behavior, especially in regard to legal cases, under my college professor Dr. James Ha, CAAB.
My work has included years in the sheltering field, where I developed and managed a behavior program, conducted intake assessments, created individualized training plans, and supported adopters in transitioning animals into new homes. In addition to my professional roles, I have been a long-term volunteer in animal rescue, providing behavior support, enrichment, and training to improve the welfare and adoptability of dogs and cats. My current volunteer role is through HART Rescue Trainers.
For the past 13 years, I have worked as a private behavior consultant, providing individual sessions for dogs and cats with a wide range of needs including- aggression, separation anxiety, reactivity, fear, anxiety, scent work and search training, cooperative grooming, basic behaviors, enrichment and games, puppy development, and feline behavior concerns.
My career combines medical knowledge, applied behavior science, and extensive hands-on experience with companion animals in shelter, home, and private training environments.

Testimonials
“Bryana brings a unique combination of knowledge, attention to detail, and warmth to our training sessions! Thank you for helping our pup!”
— Mikaela Harf
“Bryana is an expert on dog behavior! We have two dogs that came from difficult situations and have some behavioral issues as a result. She has helped us work through so many problems, including aggression towards people in/around our house and dogs chasing our cats. We initially thought one of our dogs was aggressive, but within a few minutes of meeting him, Bryana assured us that he was actually just scared, and that his behavior could easily be modified if we helped him feel more comfortable. We’ve used this knowledge in so many situations and we’ve helped our dog adjust so well. This is just one example where Bryana has worked with us to understand the underlying behaviors behind our dogs’ actions, which has strengthened our relationship with them. Whenever we have a problem, we ask Bryana for help and she’s there to problem solve and educate us. I can’t recommend her enough!”

“I have a very strong young American Bully who doesn’t like things done to him. He’s extremely mouthy and wants to eat anything that comes near his face… he’s also extremely reactive to anything wet! Super combination when he’s prone to ear infections. He needed his ears cleaned regularly…, so I reached out for help. Bryana came & worked with him on desensitizing him to the “wet” cotton ball, having someone doing something without him wanting to , & eating the cotton ball. With consistent training lots of patience & some beef jerky we were able to help him over come his fear. I am now able to clean his ears every other day with no issues, he sits calmly waits until I’m done & gets his treat 😊
So very grateful, this will be ongoing for the rest of his life!!”
